Chinese Music Series - Pipa

Pipa is an ancient stringed instrument that originated in ancient Persia and was introduced to China via the Silk Road. The pipa has four strings and is usually played with fingers, but can also be played with a plectrum. Its timbre is soft and melodious, capable of expressing rich emotions.
