What is Cambridge English (YLE) ?
It is an international authoritative test designed by the Foreign Language Examination Department of Cambridge University and the Cambridge University Press to test students' English ability.
About five million people take Cambridge English exams every year.
The test mainly hopes that candidates can understand their strengths and weaknesses in English through the test, understand their learning progress, and be more confident and use English in daily life.
In particular, children can take the Cambridge English test step by step and improve their English level step by step.
Specifically designed to assess the English proficiency of schoolchildren aged 4 to 12.
The test is divided into three levels, and each level of the test paper covers three parts: reading, writing, listening and conversation, and accurately assesses students' abilities in reading, writing, listening and speaking.
There is no pass or fail in the basic test, but the candidate's performance will be shown by the number of shields. Candidates can get up to five shields for each part, and generally need to reach 98% first to have five shields. Candidates will be issued a certificate about one to two months after the exam.
Are Cambridge English exams useful?
Cambridge English test is internationally authoritative, and the certificate is widely recognized by kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong, and can be used as a reference indicator for students' English ability.
The school pays special attention to students' English ability, so having two or three certificates in hand may help children gain extra points. At the same time, the certificate is also recognized by schools, universities and even public and private employers in English-speaking countries.
The test is especially suitable for parents who plan to send their children to study abroad in the future.
