The dual tweeters utilize aluminum diaphragms with CMMD treatment, a polyurethane frame, neodymium magnets, and liquid cooling, delivering high output, low distortion, and moisture resistance. The wall-firing woofer utilizes a CMMD ceramic-metal matrix diaphragm, offering an exceptionally high stiffness-to-weight ratio, high output, moisture resistance, and long-term durability. Engineered Noise Cancellation technology enables Control HST to deliver a flatter frequency response and consistent sound characteristics throughout the room.
A patented design eliminates wall reflections, including a wall-mounted woofer, two horizontally oriented tweeters, a wall bracket that maintains the speaker at an appropriate distance from the wall, and a tapered cabinet that provides proper loading and sound dispersion. With most wall-mounted speakers, the baffle is positioned some distance from the wall. This causes low- and low-mid frequency waves to bypass the speaker and reflect off the wall, where they combine with the original sound. Some frequencies coherently add, while others cancel, resulting in peaks and valleys in the frequency response and inconsistencies at the listening position. By significantly reducing this phenomenon, Control HST delivers a flatter frequency response and consistent sound characteristics throughout the room.
